Membership

The Mural Club offers four levels of membership, each playing different and important roles in the creation of our murals. Find out more below.

Note: applications for Artists and Board Interns are not yet open. Please indicate your interest in the General Membership form above, and we will contact you when applications open in late September.

General Members

  • Attend monthly club meetings

  • Allowed to volunteer at mural projects and other events

  • Can provide input and suggestions for future projects

  • Can earn volunteer hours

  • No minimum hour/attendance requirement

  • Connected with mural painting opportunities in the Bay Area through the California Youth Mural Association

  • Create or help create designs for murals

  • Expected to frequently attend mural projects (every few months)

  • Low workload (1-2 design ideas expected every few months)

  • Artists who can make digital drawings are preferred. Our murals are typically realistic or cartoony in nature

Artists

Board Interns

  • Attend frequent board meetings

  • Primarily underclassmen

  • Assist the Board with planning and organizations

  • Co-lead mural projects on a rotating basis

  • May shadow specific Board Members

  • Moderate workload (0-2 hours of work every week)

  • Given priority for board positions based on performance 

  • Plan and execute mural projects

  • Primarily upperclassmen

  • Board Positions include:

    • Co-Presidents​

    • Treasurers

    • Secretaries

    • Head Artists

    • Event Coordinator

    • Membership Coordinator

    • Outreach Coordinator

    • Social Media Manager

    • Website Manager

  • Elected every May for one year

  • Moderate workload (0-2 hours per week)

  • Board elections for the 2024-25 school year have ended. If you are interested in being a 2025-26 Board Member, consider applying to be an Intern this year
